Drawing space with friction plate

One of our end customers, a logistics company with a need for more efficient parcel throughput, faced the challenge of achieving a controlled product flow with fixed gaps. We addressed this challenge by developing a rollertop mattop conveyor for their specific application.

This system enabled them to temporarily stop individual boxes and then allow them to move again in a controlled manner. By placing a friction plate under the belt deck, the next box was effectively disengaged from the queue. This gave the sensor room to accurately detect when one box had passed, allowing the clamp to close and start the next cycle.

This solution allowed the company to achieve a continuous flow of products at fixed intervals, leading to even distribution. This simple but effective adjustment provided a crucial improvement for the rest of the process.
