The BCK mattop conveyor with sorting flipper for aligning, guiding and sorting meal trays.

A request came from the customer to distribute a flow of meal trays from one conveyor to 2 conveyors.

The meal trays originate from a spiral conveyor and are fed through one main conveyor after which the products are sorted based on numbers and type of meal to the desired packaging robot. Here, multiple meal trays are placed in a carton.

The design of the flipper blade is designed to properly guide the meal trays. BCK profiles were used to create a slim portal that has the same look and feel as the mato conveyors.

The switching time of the sorting flipper is +/- 1.5s.
