Charities 2022
It has been a tradition at BCK Holland in recent years to close the year with donations to charities. We all know someone who has an incurable disease.
Prinses Máxima Centrum
With our contribution again in 2022, we can help them achieve their goal, to cure all children with cancer with optimal quality of life. The health insurers reimburse basic care. For all extra facilities, which ensure that the normal life of the child and family can continue as much as possible during and after the period of illness, a lot of funding is really needed.
Wilhelmina KinderZiekenhuis (WKZ)
No one is in the hospital voluntarily… but if you are there, you want the very best care and treatment. You may be grateful that you are safely in the hospital, but at the same time the fear is also great; what is wrong? And most importantly: how will this end? WKZ does everything it can to make your stay at the UMC Utrecht and Wilhelmina Children's Hospital as pleasant as possible by financing (research) projects that cannot be paid for from the regular healthcare budgets. BCK Holland hopes to contribute to this process with its gift in 2022.
Stichting MS
The MS Foundation also has a goal. The MS Research Foundation is the organization that finances and stimulates scientific research into the cause and solution of multiple sclerosis. For a world without MS. BCK Holland hopes to contribute to this research with its gift in 2022.
Stichting ALS Nederland
Although the disease is being researched worldwide, the cause is still unknown. There is no hope for a future – with an average life expectancy of 3 to 5 years after the first symptoms – for these 1500 patients. The relatively small number of patients means that the research budgets of the pharmaceutical industry and the government are nil; by far the most scientific research into ALS in the Netherlands is financed by donations to Stichting ALS Nederland. BCK Holland supported the ALS Netherlands Foundation in 2022 with a gift. With this, BCK Holland contributes to funding research related to finding the causes of ALS, as well as research leading to a possible treatment.
Cystic Fibrosis Stichting (NCFS)
BCK Holland again supported the Dutch Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (NCFS) in 2022 with a donation. BCK Holland thus contributes to the development of new medicines that improve the quality of life.
KiKa
More than 550 children in the Netherlands get cancer every year. Currently, 75% of these children are cured. That must and that can be better. That is why BCK Holland again supported KiKa in 2022 with a gift. With this, BCK Holland contributes to innovative research and other activities in the field of childhood cancer, aimed at less pain during treatment, more healing and a higher quality of life later in life. KiKa also focuses on providing information about childhood cancer.
KWF Kankerbestrijding
Everyone deserves a tomorrow. That is why BCK Holland supported KWF Cancer Control in 2022 with a donation. With this, BCK Holland contributes to scientific cancer research, information and support for cancer patients.
GIRO 555 - Samen in actie voor Oekraïne
BCK Holland supported GIRO 555 in early 2022 with a donation to support all victims of the war in Ukraine.
